Yes! That's me in the photo above. As you can see I'm just an old chap of 78 years and so grateful for the many years because Sweet Jesus forgave me my many sins when I was 65 years of age and had I died younger than that, I would have gone straight to Hell on Judgement Day - which is coming to each and every one of us, believe me - even YOU will have it to face.
Blaise Pascal 1623 - 1662 one of History's greatest Mathematicians had this to say:
"How can anyone lose who chooses to become a Christian? If, when he dies, there turns out to be no God and his faith was in vain, he has lost nothing - in fact , he has been happier in life than his non-believing friends. If, however, there is a God and a Heaven and a Hell, then he has gained Heaven and his skeptical friends will have lost everything in Hell."
General Eisenhower probably the most famous World War II General had this to say, amongst many other things:
"It takes no brains to be an Atheist. Any stupid person can deny the evidence of a supernatural power because man's physical senses cannot detect it."
Well I guess that's what the Intelligensia think. Many such people including Winston Churchill, President Theodore Roosevelt, Albert Einstein, Charles Dickens, Leonardo Da Vinci, Sir Isaac Newton, Joseph Lister, General US. Grant, General Robert E. Lee, Ronald Reagan, George Washington, most if not all of the first Presidents of the United States and so many other famous people to numerous to mention her, also believed in the Holy Bible.
Why is it that they chose to believe in the Bible? Well I guess it's because it is the True Word of God! It was written over a period of 1200 years, in the form of 66 books by 40 differnt authors - and yet - the whole of it teaches us the complete history of mankind on earth. How can this be? Well think of it in this way: You are sitting on the side of the roadway watching a wonderful parade pass you by. You see the beginning of the parade, each and every part of it over time and eventually you see the end of it. That is an example of Linear time. However, consider this:
God is up in the air in a Helecopter and sees the whole parade in one glance. he sees the beginning, the middle and the end of the parade all at once, to Him Linear Time does not exist, and that's how the Bible is so accurate. Practically every Biblical Prophesy made has been fulfilled with the exception of some of those relating to the End Times - that's the times that we are presently living in.
God has seen the whole story of man' existence on the earth and he told the different authors of the Bible what to write so that we, mankind may learn to know what is in store for us all.
Believe me my friend, we do not have much time left for this Earth and mankind, it is all coming to an end very, very shortly - and - we have been told of it in the Bible, 2Peter:3,10. "But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night: in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up."
There you have it, the earth is going to be burned up together with everything and everyone except those Christians who have been Born Again by giving their hearts to Jesus and those Christians who are in the graves. All will be taken up to Heaven to avoid the disasters happening on earth.
I want you to know that YOU can also join in this elite group who have the Lord Jesus' Guarantee of being taken away from the Earth in what is called The Rapture, see 2Thessalonians 4:13-18. "But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them which also sleep in Jesus will God bring with Him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord Himself shall descend from Heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore, comfort one another with these words."
Wow!! What a Promise! One that YOU can rely on - I rely on it!
Well, I guess I have given you some of the information that you need in order to gain everlasting life after your life on earth is over. Imagine, living in a perfect world where there is no death, tears, sorrow, sickness or any of the other misfortunes that one experiences on earth, to be able to live in this perfect world forver in the presence of God where, "The Lion Shall Lie Down With The lamb." But HOW can one be sure of gaining entry into this wonderful afterlife? The answer is so very simple. All that is required is that you ask Jesus to come into your heart and help you to live a better life because God doesn't want anyone to go to Hell: See John 3: 16-18 For God so loved the world (Put Your name here) that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God sent not His son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He that believeth on Him, is not condemned; but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed on the only begotten son of God."
How do you ask Jesus to come into your heart and help you to live a better life?
You simply go into a quiet room, kneel down and say the following prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father, I know that I am a sinner, I repent of my sins and I turn away from them. I know that Jesus died on the cross for my sins, was buried in a tomb and rose again on the third day. I ask the Lord Jesus to forgive me my sins and to please come into my heart and help me to live a better life. I thank you Lord Jesus for saving me. In Jesus' name I pray.
There you have it all. See how easy it is to get rid of all your sins and have the promise of everlasting life, it's wonderful! Because being good, going to church every week, doing good deeds; All these things will NEVER get you into Heaven, the only way is to follow the prayer above.
